Azerbaijan PM and TRNC Counterpart Discuss Bilateral Cooperation Expansion

Baku: Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Unal Ustel on April 1, the Cabinet of Ministers told APA. The meeting focused on the current state and prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the TRNC across various fields.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the sides positively assessed the intensity of high-level mutual visits and the development of cooperation through inter-parliamentary ties and political parties. They emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, particularly in culture and tourism.

The significance of cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States was highlighted, noting the contributions of the TRNC to the organization's activities as an observer. The meeting of heads of government and vice presidents of the Organization of Turkic States held in Baku was also noted, with an emphasis on its role in strengthening intergovernmental coordination and advancing a common agenda in priority areas defined by the heads of state.
