Baku: Azerbaijan’s population increased by 16,833 people, or 0.2 percent, in the first half of 2025, bringing the total to 10,241,722 as of July 1, 2025. This information was reported by the State Statistical Committee as part of the macroeconomic indicators of the country’s economic and social development from January to July.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the data reveals that 54.4% of the population resides in urban areas, while 45.6% live in rural areas. Additionally, the gender distribution in the country is nearly balanced, with 49.8% of the population being men and 50.2% women.
