Gold Production in Azerbaijan Increased by Nearly 50%

Baku: Gold and silver production in Azerbaijan saw significant growth in the first seven months of 2025, with gold production increasing by nearly 50%.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the country produced 1862.7 kg of gold and 2533.5 kg of silver from January to July 2025. This marks a 49.2% increase in gold production and a 32.9% rise in silver production compared to the same period last year.

The data, provided by the State Statistical Committee, highlights the robust growth in Azerbaijan’s mining sector. As of August 1, 2025, the reserves of finished gold and silver products in Azerbaijan stood at 167.5 kg and 577.3 kg, respectively.

In comparison, the total gold production for 2024 was 2663.5 kg, while silver production was 3184.9 kg. The current year’s production figures suggest a positive trend and a potential for surpassing last year’s total output by the end of 2025.
