Baku: In a message addressed to His Majesty Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, the President of Azerbaijan extended his sincere congratulations on the occasion of Brunei Darussalam's National Day. The President expressed these sentiments both personally and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the President highlighted the gratifying level of relations between Azerbaijan and Brunei, which are founded on friendship and mutual respect. He expressed his belief that both nations would continue their joint efforts to strengthen interstate ties and expand cooperation both bilaterally and multilaterally, in line with the interests of the friendly countries.

Taking the opportunity, the President also extended his congratulations on the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan to the Sultan and the people of Brunei. He wished them robust health, happiness, success in their endeavors, and lasting peace and prosperity for Brunei Darussalam.
