Azerbaijan Promotes Year-Round Tourism in Turkey Through Seminars

Trabzon:The Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) Representative Office in Turkey, in collaboration with the Absheron Hotel Group (AHG), conducted a series of seminars aimed at promoting Azerbaijan's year-round tourism offerings. These seminars took place in the cities of Trabzon, Gaziantep, Bursa, and Konya from October 5 to 8.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the events were attended by approximately 250 representatives from Turkey's travel industry and media. The seminars highlighted Azerbaijan's diverse landscapes, cultural heritage, and the variety of experiences available throughout the year, from mountain retreats and outdoor adventures to city breaks and cultural journeys.

A significant focus of the program was winter tourism, underscoring Azerbaijan's appeal for snow and mountain travel. The seminars showcased destinations such as the slopes of Shahdag and Tufandag, as well as Azerbaijan's role as the Global Destination Partner of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS). Shusha, recognized as Azerbaijan's cultural capital, was also emphasized for its historical and spiritual significance and its potential for hosting meetings, incentives, conferences, and events.

The events included open business-to-business networking sessions, providing industry professionals with opportunities to exchange ideas and explore potential partnerships. This initiative aims to strengthen ties between tourism stakeholders from Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Tourism statistics indicate a growing interest in Azerbaijan among Turkish travelers. Between January and September 2026, Azerbaijan saw 355,045 visitors from Turkey, an increase of 6.4% compared with the same period in 2025.

These seminars are part of ATB's ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with Turkish travel professionals and generate greater interest in Azerbaijan's diverse tourism experiences throughout the year.
