Baku: Azerbaijan is implementing a sustainable development policy in the financial sector, said the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Country Director for Azerbaijan, Sunniya Durrani-Jamal, during her speech at the ‘ASM 2025 Launch Seminar’ held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, she added that the Government of Azerbaijan is implementing a policy and roadmap for the sustainable development of the financial sector covering the years 2023-2026. Azerbaijan is also carrying out work on the formation of a national ‘green taxonomy.’ The goal of this work is to ensure consistency in taxonomy concepts and definitions across different jurisdictions.

The efforts in this direction serve to create coherence and a common understanding at the international level, the Country Director emphasized.
