IEA Report Highlights Global Electricity Access Challenges

Abu dhabi: Approximately 730 million people around the world still live without access to electricity.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this statistic comes from the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) World Energy Outlook – 2025 (WEO-2025) report.

The report also indicates that nearly 2 billion people are currently using cooking methods that pose health risks. WEO-2025 introduces a new scenario that outlines a pathway to achieve universal electricity access by 2035 and clean cooking solutions by 2040. The report emphasizes the important role of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in meeting these targets.
