Azerbaijan Railways Chief Explores Development Plans at Turkmenbashi Port

Turkmenbashi: The Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), Rovshan Rustamov, visited the Turkmenbashi International Seaport during his trip to Turkmenistan, as reported by ADY to APA-Economics. This visit is part of efforts to enhance regional freight transportation and port operations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Parahat Jumayev, the port's director, provided the ADY delegation with detailed information on the current infrastructure, technical capabilities, and transit potential of the Turkmenbashi Port. The discussions focused on the synchronization of development between the Baku International Sea Trade Port and the Turkmenbashi Port, along with the implementation of seabed deepening works to support this initiative.

The meeting highlighted the importance of expanding Caspian Sea-Black Sea connectivity, which is expected to boost cargo volumes and enhance operational efficiency along the Middle Corridor. The coordination of port operations across the Eurasian Transport Route was also emphasized as crucial for ensuring efficient, fast, and secure freight transportation.
