Baku: ‘Azerbaijan Railways’ JSC (ADY), part of AZCON Holding, received 265 block trains in the first eight months of 2025.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this figure represents a 58% increase compared to the same period last year. During the January to August timeframe, these trains transported 28,261 TEU of container cargo, marking a 67% rise from the previous year.

The substantial growth in block train arrivals and container cargo transportation highlights the expanding role of Azerbaijan Railways in regional logistics and trade. This increase aligns with the country’s strategic focus on enhancing its transportation infrastructure.
