Khankendi: Azerbaijan has successfully relocated 142 residents to the districts of Khankendi, Khojaly, and Aghdara. The relocated individuals received keys to their new homes on January 30 as part of an ongoing resettlement initiative.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, this phase of relocation involved the movement of 5 families, totaling 25 individuals, to Karkijahan settlement in the Khankendi district. Additionally, 6 families, comprising 24 individuals, were resettled to Khanyurdu, and 8 families, totaling 41 individuals, were moved to Tazabina villages in the Khojaly district. Meanwhile, 10 families, comprising 52 individuals, were transferred to the Hasanriz village of the Aghdara district.
The key handover ceremony was attended by officials from the Special Representative Office of the President of Azerbaijan in Khankendi, as well as representatives from the Aghdara and Khojaly districts. Also present were members of the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), marking a significant step in the ongoing efforts to support displaced individuals in the region.
