Baku: Azerbaijan has successfully relocated 185 families, totaling 664 individuals, to liberated territories as part of its ongoing efforts to provide permanent housing for internally displaced persons. These families, who were temporarily settled in apartments belonging to other citizens, have been moved to areas undergoing restoration and reconstruction.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons confirmed the relocation as part of a broader initiative to resettle individuals living in challenging conditions. The effort is concentrated in the Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur regions, where former internally displaced persons, previously housed in temporary facilities such as dormitories, unfinished buildings, and sanatoriums, are being prioritized for relocation.

The Committee emphasized that permanent housing is being provided only in locations where the displaced individuals are registered, ensuring a return to their original communities. The relocation initiative reflects Azerbaijan’s commitment to addressing the needs of internally displaced persons through continued restoration and reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories.
