Lachin: Azerbaijan has successfully relocated another convoy of families to the village of Beylik in the Lachin district. The resettlement convoy reached its destination on May 29, as reported by APA. In this phase, keys to newly constructed individual houses were distributed to 41 families, comprising a total of 163 people.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, representatives from the Special Representative Office of the President of Azerbaijan in the Lachin district and the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons attended the ceremony. The relocation effort is part of a larger initiative to repopulate areas that have been reclaimed and rebuilt, accommodating both former internally displaced persons and employees involved in regional development projects.

This latest relocation includes 24 families from Baku city, 14 families from the Absheron district, one family from the Barda district, one family from the Gobustan district, and one family from the Khachmaz district. The relocated residents expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, and the Azerbaijani Army for their roles in liberating the occupied lands and facilitating their return.

Currently, over 43,000 people are living in the regions of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur. This population includes those who have returned to their native areas as well as professionals involved in the restoration of local government agencies and various institutions such as healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy, which have been reestablished in the region.
