Aghdara: Today, families relocated to H?s?nriz village in Aghdara district have been presented with the keys to their new homes, APA reports. The key presentation ceremony was attended by officials from the Special Representation of the President of Azerbaijan in Aghdara and Khojaly districts, based in Khankendi, as well as representatives of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the next resettlement convoy has arrived in Hasanriz village, Aghdara. At this stage, 25 families, totaling 75 people, have been relocated to Hasanriz village as part of the ongoing Great Return to the liberated territories, in accordance with President Ilham Aliyev’s instructions.
On March 6, another convoy of families temporarily settled in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings from various parts of the country was sent from Tartar to the village of Hasanriz in Aghdara. This move is part of the broader initiative to resettle internally displaced persons back to their homeland.
The residents returning to their homeland have expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the state care they have received. They also thanked the Azerbaijani Army and soldiers who participated in the liberation of the lands, honoring the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause.
Currently, in addition to the former internally displaced persons relocated to Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur, around 40,000 people live in these regions. This population includes individuals involved in various ongoing projects and employees in local branches of state institutions, as well as workers in sectors such as healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy.
