Baku: Azerbaijan has successfully repatriated a mother and her four children from the Syrian Arab Republic back to their home country. This operation, carried out on January 12, was part of ongoing efforts to return Azerbaijani citizens from conflict zones. The press service of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of Azerbaijan confirmed the repatriation to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, representatives from the Ombudsman's office met with the repatriated family, who have been placed in a facility managed by the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. The meeting focused on evaluating the protection of the family's rights, addressing any problems or needs they might have, and offering recommendations for their integration into society, including access to education and employment.

During the meeting, the family received comprehensive information about the Ombudsman's role, the scope of its activities, and how they can contact the office for assistance. Additionally, they were informed about the mechanisms in place to safeguard their rights as they transition back into Azerbaijani society.
