Baku: In the first quarter of 2025, Azerbaijan produced 1,302 passenger cars and 28 trucks, marking a substantial change in the country’s automotive production landscape.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Statistics Committee reported that the production of passenger cars has increased by 2.1 times compared to the same period in the previous year. However, truck production saw a sharp decline of 86% during the same timeframe.

As of April 1, 2025, Azerbaijan’s stock of finished automotive products included 134 passenger cars and 15 trucks. The report also highlighted a decrease in tractor production, with 124 units produced, reflecting a 25.3% drop from the previous year’s corresponding period.

In contrast, last year’s production figures showed 5,998 passenger cars and 697 trucks manufactured in Azerbaijan. The shifts in production numbers indicate a strategic focus on passenger car production within the country.
