Baku: Azerbaijan has returned two Iranian citizens who had illegally crossed the border from Iran into Azerbaijan.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the incident occurred on September 9 when the two individuals were detained after crossing into Azerbaijan.
The Press Center of the State Border Service (SBS) reported that the two men, identified as Sadeq Nejat Mohammed Reza Ruhollah, born in 2002, and Sadeq Nejat Amirhossein Ruhollah, born in 2000, were apprehended in the service area of the “Lankaran” border detachment. The crossing took place in a mountainous and densely forested section of the state border.
Following an investigation, the detained individuals were officially handed back to Iranian authorities.
