Baku: Traffic will be restricted on some streets in connection with the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, affecting the Baku City Circuit (BCC) starting from September 15, as announced by BCC to APA. To facilitate logistical operations for the race scheduled from September 19 to 21, traffic restrictions will begin at 01:00 AM on September 12 along the section of Pushkin Street between Uzeyir Hajibeyov Street and Neftchilar Avenue and will remain until the event concludes.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Traffic Management Plan indicates that streets within the Baku City Circuit and areas covered by the track will be closed to traffic from 01:00 AM on September 15 until 08:00 AM on September 23. Access within the restricted zones will be limited to those with a “Residential Access Permit.” Drawing from the previous two years’ experiences, certain main roads will be partially opened during the race for the convenience of residents and drivers.
On September 15, 16, and 17, specific entry and exit sections of the race track will be accessible from 07:00 AM to 09:00 AM and 06:00 PM to 08:00 PM. Entry points include routes from Salyan Highway to Neftchilar Avenue and Azneft Square, M. Lermontov Street to 50th Anniversary of the UN Street and Istiglaliyyat Street, S. Vurgun Street to Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street and Bulbul Avenue, Bulbul Avenue to Khagani Street and Neftchilar Avenue, and from the intersection of Nizami and Pushkin Streets to Khagani Street.
