Azerbaijan Reveals Defense and National Security Expenditures for 2026


Baku: The projected defense and national security expenditures in Azerbaijan for next year have been revealed, APA reports. This information is part of the functional classification indicators of the draft state budget for 2026 and the subsequent three years.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the allocation for defense and national security for the year 2026 is set at AZN 8 billion 110 million 642.2 thousand. The budget outlines a gradual decrease in the following years: AZN 7 billion 345 million 473.2 thousand in 2027, AZN 6 billion 979 million 393.1 thousand in 2028, and a slight increase to AZN 7 billion 402 million 393.9 thousand in 2029.



These figures reflect the government’s financial planning and priorities in the defense and national security sectors over the coming years. The budget projections indicate a fluctuating trend in expenditures, suggesting adjustments in response to anticipated needs and strategic objectives.
