Baku: Azerbaijan is interested in benefiting from Trkiye's extensive experience in the field of digital transformation, said Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samir Mammadov at the 'Azerbaijan-Trkiye Business Forum: Digital Transformation and Technology Bridge,' APA-Economics reports. "Trkiye has come a long way in this field, and the strong technological ecosystem it has formed is an important model both for Azerbaijan and for the region as a whole," he added.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Deputy Minister noted that Azerbaijan is also ready to strengthen its own potential together with Trkiye. He stated that the technoparks operating in Azerbaijan are ready to cooperate with Turkish ICT companies and create conditions for expanding the activities of companies within these technoparks. Azerbaijan's ICT market is favorable for Turkish companies in terms of government projects, digital services, as well as innovation and startup collaborations. Concrete partnerships to be established between the public and private sectors will enable cooperation between the two countries in the field of digitalization to move to a new stage.
S. Mammadov stated that the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is carrying out work to expand the scope of technopark activities. He emphasized that the tax incentives applied within the framework of technopark residency-covering profit tax, dividend income, property and land taxes, as well as the simplification of income tax and social insurance mechanisms-strengthen the financial sustainability of resident companies and create favorable conditions for their faster development.
The Deputy Minister invited Turkish companies to expand their activities in Azerbaijan and to become more closely acquainted with the opportunities created by the technopark.
