Azerbaijan Seeks Israeli Tech Presence with New Invites


Tel Aviv: During his working visit to Israel, Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan Rashad Nabiyev met with Israel’s Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Gila Gamliel, APA reports, citing the Ministry.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the two officials discussed cooperation between the two countries in areas such as innovation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, space, and the improvement of the legislative framework. Minister Rashad Nabiyev extended an invitation to Israeli tech companies to open offices in Azerbaijan and establish knowledge-based manufacturing facilities, IT training centers, and a Center of Excellence in high technologies.



As a result of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two countries on the cooperation in the field of science.
