Baku: Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector exports increased by 14.7% in the first three months of 2025, reaching USD 771.9 million compared to the same period in 2024.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the growth was driven by a notable rise in food product exports, which grew by 15.1% to USD 224.7 million.

The report highlights significant increases in several export categories. Precious and semi-precious stones and metals saw a remarkable surge, with exports increasing by USD 46.7 million, or 3.4 times, compared to the previous year. Additionally, exports of ferrous metals and related products increased by USD 9.1 million, or 76.8%, while chemical industry products rose by USD 21.9 million, or 33.4%.

Sugar exports experienced an 18.8% increase, amounting to an additional USD 976.3 thousand. Fruit and vegetable exports grew by 15.7%, contributing an extra USD 20.8 million. Aluminum and its products saw a 10.2% rise, amounting to USD 4.9 million. Additionally, exports of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 5.7%, tea by 5.1%, plant and animal fats and oils by 4.2%, and cotton yarn by 0.4%.

In terms of agricultural products, the first three months of 2025 saw a 12.3% increase in exports, reaching USD 170.5 million. Agro-industrial products also grew by 17.6%, totaling USD 69.1 million. The combined export of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 13.8%, totaling USD 239.6 million.
