Baku:Azerbaijan's trade turnover with Central Asian countries increased by more than 50% last year, as announced by President Ilham Aliyev during the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asia.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, President Aliyev highlighted that over 400 companies backed by Central Asian capital are currently active in Azerbaijan. He also mentioned the establishment of joint investment funds with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, each valued at hundreds of millions of dollars.
The President stressed the importance of leveraging these investment funds to implement joint projects, create new production facilities, and expand industrial cooperation. Aliyev emphasized that efforts should extend beyond merely increasing mutual trade to include investments, production, and collaborative entry into foreign markets.
