Baku: Azerbaijan’s revenues from transportation via main gas pipelines reached 2,071,837.4 thousand manats in the first nine months of this year, marking a 3.6% increase compared to the same period last year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Statistical Committee reported this increase in earnings from January to September, with the revenue indicator standing at 1,999,005 thousand manats in 2024 for the same period.

During this timeframe, Azerbaijan transported 29,825 million cubic meters of gas through its main gas pipelines, an increase of 0.9% compared to the previous year. A significant portion, 57.5%, of this gas transportation was conducted via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline, which exports gas produced at the ‘Shah Deniz’ gas-condensate field. The pipeline saw the transit of 17,135.6 million cubic meters of gas, reflecting a rise of 1.98%.

In 2024, Azerbaijan’s total revenue from transportation through main gas pipelines was recorded at 2,707,608.8 thousand manats, indicating a 7.6% annual increase. In the previous year, 40,348.3 million cubic meters of gas were transported through these pipelines, with a 2.7% increase compared to the year before. Of this, 56.6% was transported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline, which saw an increase of 4.3% with 22,851.9 million cubic meters of gas transported.
