Baku: Azerbaijan has successfully intercepted smuggled goods valued at more than 5 million manats in December as part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug trafficking and smuggling activities. The State Border Service of Azerbaijan reported significant seizures last month, including 331 kilograms and 53 grams of narcotic substances and 1,548 tablets classified as potent narcotic-containing drugs.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the measures also led to the detection and seizure of contraband goods valued at a total of 5 million 32 thousand 289 manats. These goods included pharmaceuticals, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco products. The operations reflect Azerbaijan's commitment to disrupting illegal trade and ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens.
