Baku: The documents required to be submitted for the granting of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan's pension to family members of deceased deminers have been determined, APA reports. The Cabinet of Ministers has made amendments to the 'Rules for the Assignment, Payment, Suspension of Payment of Social Benefits and Safeguarding of Social Benefit Files' in this regard.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the required documents include a certificate from the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan confirming the deminer's death due to an explosive ordnance accident during demining activities or subsequent injuries. Additionally, a copy of the deminer's death certificate, documents verifying the existence of eligible family members, and the marriage certificate confirming the union with a surviving spouse must be submitted.
Further requirements detail that a certificate from an educational institution is necessary to confirm that children under 23 of the deceased deminer are enrolled in an educational institution. In cases involving siblings raised in orphanages or those with disabilities, a relevant institution must provide certification.
In scenarios where proactive social benefit assignments are not feasible, the State Social Protection Fund will assign benefits based on written, including electronic, applications submitted by eligible individuals. For minors or legally incapacitated individuals, applications may be submitted by parents or legal representatives.
Applications can be submitted to local offices of the State Social Protection Fund or DOST centers under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. Written applications can also be submitted to unified coordination centers assisting family members of martyrs, injured military personnel, and persons with disabilities.
