Baku: Azerbaijan will define additional conditions for remote work through employment contracts with the mutual agreement of the parties involved. This move is part of the proposed amendments to the Labor Code discussed at the Milli Majlis Regional Affairs Committee meeting.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the amendments specify that remote work is characterized by performing job functions outside of the traditional workplace established by an employer. This can occur at any suitable location using electronic, software-technical, or telecommunication tools that facilitate remote work.
The new framework aims to formalize remote work arrangements by clearly outlining them in employment contracts. This change is expected to provide clarity and structure for both employers and employees engaging in remote work setups.
