Baku: Azerbaijan has established new regulations governing remote work arrangements, as officially confirmed by recent legislative amendments. The updated rules stipulate that additional terms concerning the performance of job functions in a remote or distance work format will be defined through an employment contract, formulated based on mutual agreement between the involved parties. These changes come following a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the amendments to the Labor Code outline that remote work involves performing job functions outside the employer's premises or designated workplaces. This includes any location deemed suitable for carrying out work or providing services, utilizing tools that facilitate remote work. Such tools encompass electronic, software, technical, and telecommunications means.
