Baku: Work is underway in Azerbaijan to develop new state standards for information technology and internet infrastructure security in line with international practices, as stated by Kamala Mammadzade, acting director of the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute, to APA. She highlighted that the existing standards for information security are outdated, insufficient for ensuring cybersecurity, and do not align with current technological challenges.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Mammadzade emphasized that the new standards being prepared are broader and more modern, extending beyond just IT infrastructure. These standards will encompass service sectors, internet connections, information flow, and providers, aiming to establish a comprehensive framework for cybersecurity across various domains.
