Baku: Gas production from Azerbaijan’s Shah Deniz field in the Caspian Sea has reached 250 billion cubic meters.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this milestone was reported by APA-Economics, citing the Ministry of Energy.
The Shah Deniz field, discovered in 1999, is estimated to contain around 1 trillion cubic meters of natural gas and 2 billion barrels of condensate. Initial production from the Shah Deniz Stage 1 project began in December 2006, with Stage 2 commencing in July 2018.
