Baku: For the purpose of assigning targeted state social assistance, the poverty threshold for 2026 will be approved at 300 manats, APA reports. This development is outlined in the draft law titled ‘On the Poverty Threshold in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026,’ which was deliberated during the recent session of the Milli Majlis.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the increase in the poverty threshold represents a 15-manat rise compared to the previous year. The draft law underwent discussions in the Milli Majlis, the Azerbaijani legislative body, where it was subsequently put to a vote. The proposal was successfully adopted in the first reading, indicating progress in the legislative process for its final approval.
