Baku: The Ahmadbayli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway, constructed to enhance transport connectivity in the territories recently liberated, will function as a toll road, as announced by the Tariff Council.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the toll rates were confirmed during the Council's meeting held on June 1. Passenger cars and freight vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tons will incur a charge of 8.6 qepiks per kilometer, totaling AZN 6.99 for the entire stretch of the route.

For motorcycles, the toll has been determined at 4.65 qepiks per kilometer on the Ahmadbayli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway and 5 qepiks per kilometer on the M-1 Baku-Guba-Russian border highway.

The Ahmadbayli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway is noted to be 19.7 kilometers shorter than the existing route. With a higher speed limit, it offers drivers a chance to save both time and fuel.

The decisions made by the Tariff Council are scheduled to take effect on June 2, 2026.
