Baku: Azerbaijan has so far supplied a total of 561 million tons of oil and 196 billion cubic meters of gas to Trkiye and international markets via Trkiye through the existing oil and gas infrastructure, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during this period, 130 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas were transported to Trkiye, of which 40 billion cubic meters accounted for TANAP. In the eight months of this year alone, 6.2 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas were supplied to Trkiye, 7.5 billion cubic meters to European countries via Trkiye, and 1 billion cubic meters to Syria, Parviz Shahbazov noted.

He added that projects such as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, TANAP and TAP have strengthened the strategic role of Azerbaijan and Trkiye in regional and global energy security.
