Baku: Azerbaijan is set to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress in February 2026. President Ilham Aliyev has issued an order to honor this milestone event, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the presidential order mandates the Ministry of Culture to work in conjunction with the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan. These bodies have been tasked with devising and executing a comprehensive plan of events to celebrate the centenary of the congress.

The First Turkological Congress, originally organized in Baku, holds historical significance, and the upcoming anniversary celebrations aim to honor its impact and legacy.
