Azerbaijan to Conduct Survey on Gender-Based Violence

Baku: A survey on gender-based violence is set to be conducted in Azerbaijan, APA reports. This initiative is part of the "National Action Plan on Gender (Men and Women) Equality in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2028," which has been approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Action Plan mandates the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children's Issues, in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Statistical Committee, to oversee the preparation of questionnaires, the execution of the survey, the analysis of the results, and the preparation of a final report over the period of 2026-2028.

This effort aims to gather comprehensive data on gender-based violence, which will be utilized to inform policy decisions and strategies for addressing and reducing instances of such violence within the country. The survey is expected to provide critical insights into the prevalence and dynamics of gender-based violence in Azerbaijan, ultimately contributing to more effective interventions and support systems for victims.
