According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the developments are outlined in the 'State Program on the development of production and processing sectors of agricultural, fisheries and aquaculture products in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030.' The program focuses on studying international practices to formulate proposals aimed at refining the regulatory and legal frameworks. This effort seeks to facilitate direct procurement from farmers and processors through a centralized supply mechanism funded by the state budget.

The program also aims to approve relevant normative legal acts and refine the procurement system to increase the share of purchases from local producers and processors. This will be part of the centralized procurement process, ensuring that state-funded food procurement supports local agriculture and processing sectors.
