Azerbaijan to Establish Next-Generation Technologies Center

Baku: A ‘Next-Generation Technologies Center’ will be established in Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports. This initiative is part of the ‘Strategy for the Development of the Digital Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2029.’ The strategy includes support mechanisms for adopting new technologies.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, proposals for the Center’s establishment will be prepared, involving at least 25 enterprises in training related to digital transformation. The Center aims to increase the number of enterprises benefiting from its digital transformation services annually, alongside enhancing the competitiveness of these enterprises.

The Center’s purpose is to optimize business processes using modern technologies while offering training and consultancy through a ‘learn and transform’ model. Inspired by Trkiye’s MEXT Digital Skills Center and Singapore’s Digital Capability Center, the initiative anticipates productivity gains of 15-30 percent at the workforce level and 10-30 percent at the sector level.
