Baku: A Permanent Settlement Fund will be established in the liberated territories, APA reports. This initiative is a result of amendments to the Housing Code approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the Code specifies that residential premises of the Permanent Settlement Fund in these areas will be classified as special-purpose housing stock. The primary aim is to relocate internally displaced persons (IDPs) to permanent housing in the liberated territories and eventually transfer ownership of these residential premises to them.

The process for relocating IDPs and transferring ownership of the residential premises will be determined by the institution designated by the relevant executive authority.
