Azerbaijan to Expand Renewable Energy Sector with 8 Gigawatts by 2032

Baku: President Ilham Aliyev announced Azerbaijan's ambitious plans to develop its renewable energy sector during his speech at the Azerbaijan-Czechia business forum. He revealed that the country aims to achieve 8 gigawatts of solar, wind, and hydropower by the year 2032.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted that this target is supported not only by strategic plans but also by already signed contracts, indicating a firm commitment to the project. The president mentioned that substantial site work will be necessary to reach this goal, pointing to the significant effort required to harness the renewable energy potential in Azerbaijan.
