Azerbaijan to Formulate Health Tourism Strategy for 2026-2030

Baku: During the period from 2026 to 2030, Azerbaijan plans to develop a comprehensive strategy and action plan aimed at enhancing health tourism. This initiative is part of the 'State Program for the Development of Tourism in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030,' which was sanctioned by a Presidential Order on August 20, 2026.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Ministry of Health will lead the preparation of this strategy and action plan in collaboration with other key bodies, including the State Tourism Agency and TABIB. The process will involve coordination and approval of the plan, followed by its implementation.

The strategy and action plan are expected to provide a structured approach to boosting health tourism, leveraging Azerbaijan's healthcare and tourism sectors to attract international visitors seeking medical services. The initiative reflects Azerbaijan's commitment to diversifying its tourism offerings and strengthening its position as a health tourism destination.
