Baku: On August 20, another shipment of wheat from Russia to Armenia was transported in transit through the territory of Azerbaijan. A train carrying 2,725 tons of wheat in 39 wagons was dispatched from Bilajari station to Boyuk Kesik.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, to date, more than 44,000 tons of grain, 9,000 tons of fertilizer, 1,136 tons of propane, 133 tons of aluminum, 1,114 tons of coal, and 67 tons of timber have been transported from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan. This transit route has become a significant corridor for the transportation of essential goods between the two countries.
In addition to transit cargo, Azerbaijan has also facilitated the export of petroleum products to Armenia. So far, nearly 15,000 tons of diesel fuel and 5,000 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline have been exported from Azerbaijan to Armenia, showcasing the growing trade relations and cooperation between the neighboring countries.
