Baku: Planning conference for the "Power of Unity - 2026" Joint Military Exercise, scheduled to be held in Azerbaijan, has taken place, the Ministry of Defense told APA. The conference at Jamshid Nakhchivanski Military Lyceum under the National Defense University brought together delegations from Azerbaijan, Trkiye, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Lieutenant General Azer Aliyev welcomed the participants and highlighted the successful advancement of military cooperation among the participating countries. He noted that the primary objectives of the "Power of Unity - 2026" Joint Military Exercise are to expand cooperation among the armed forces of the participating nations, enhance the practical skills of military personnel, facilitate the exchange of operational experience, and contribute to sustainable peace and security.
The participants were provided with a comprehensive briefing on the exercise's objectives, scenario, and the combat training activities to be conducted. As part of the conference, the participants conducted a reconnaissance of the designated exercise area and finalized the assigned training tasks.
The conference concluded with the signing of the final protocol by the participating countries, followed by a comprehensive exchange of views on other issues of common interest.
