Tashkent: A delegation from Azerbaijan, led by the Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, arrived in Uzbekistan for a working visit to explore avenues for enhancing economic collaboration between the two nations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the visit included participation in the 15th Meeting of the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation, alongside Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov. The discussions focused on deepening economic partnerships, developing new production and value chains connecting Central Asia and the South Caucasus, and strengthening transport and logistics within the Middle Corridor. Moreover, the talks aimed to expand investment cooperation between the two countries.

As a result of the meeting, a protocol was signed to bolster cooperation in key areas such as economic and trade relations, energy, transport, agriculture, food security, healthcare, and environmental protection. Additionally, Heads of Terms were agreed upon for setting up a trilateral joint venture. This venture will involve AzerGold CJSC, Uzbekgeologorazvedka JSC, and the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Investment Company, focusing on geological exploration activities, marking a significant step towards collaborative economic growth.
