Azerbaijan to Implement New System for Detecting Harmful Organisms in Agriculture

Baku: A detection system aimed at identifying harmful organisms in Azerbaijan's crop production sector is set to be introduced. This initiative is part of the 'State Program for 2026-2030 on the development of production and processing sectors of agricultural, fisheries and aquaculture products in the Republic of Azerbaijan'.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the program outlines the need to analyze preliminary observation and warning systems for detecting harmful organisms, drawing from international experience. The plan includes preparing proposals for establishing an effective observation and warning system.

Additionally, the program aims to provide timely forecasts on pests and diseases based on data collected from the newly established system. This initiative is designed to align with international standards and improve the agricultural sector's ability to respond to potential threats.
