Azerbaijan to Implement Paid Traffic Zones in Baku

Baku: Paid traffic zones will be established in Baku as reported by APA. This initiative is part of a Decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev, titled 'On certain measures to improve the field of regular passenger transportation by road.'

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Cabinet of Ministers is tasked with preparing proposals regarding the implementation of these paid traffic zones within Baku's administrative territory. They are also responsible for determining the fee amount for vehicles entering these zones. These proposals must be submitted to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan within three months.

The revenue generated from the fees for vehicles entering the designated paid traffic zones in Baku will contribute to the 'Public Transport' Targeted Budget Fund.
