Baku: Azerbaijan will join the 'Council of Europe Convention against Trafficking in Human Organs' with a special statement, as reported by APA. This announcement was made during a videoconference session of the Milli Majlis Committee on Legal Policy and State Building. The session focused on discussing the draft law regarding the approval of the convention.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the special statement is necessary because the convention's provisions will not apply to Armenia until relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia are normalized. The draft law on ratifying the convention is set to be discussed at a meeting of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) Committee on Legal Policy and State Building.
