Baku: "Azerbaijan and Serbia, as strategic partners and emerging middle powers, also play an important role in interregional cooperation," Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, Hikmat Hajiyev, said in an X post, APA reports. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Hajiyev emphasized the geographical significance of Azerbaijan and Serbia, with Azerbaijan located in the South Caucasus/wider Caspian region and Serbia in the Balkans. He highlighted that the Zangezur Corridor/TRIPP initiative offers favorable opportunities to enhance connectivity between the Broader Caspian/Central Asia and Balkan regions.
