Azerbaijan to Join the Metre Convention

Baku: Azerbaijan will join the Metre Convention, APA reports. The relevant draft law was discussed at today's meeting of the Parliament's Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Connections.

According to Azeri-Press News agency, this move signifies Azerbaijan's commitment to international systems of measurement. The Metre Convention, established in 1875, is an international treaty that provides a basis for a consistent measurement system worldwide.

The draft law, once ratified, will allow Azerbaijan to participate in the activities and benefits provided by the Metre Convention. This includes access to a standardized system that facilitates trade, scientific research, and technological development on a global scale.
