Azerbaijan to Prohibit Tobacco Product Displays at Children’s Events

Baku: Displaying tobacco products at events held for children will be banned, APA reports. This decision is part of an amendment to the law "On Restricting the Use of Tobacco Products," which was discussed at the Milli Majlis' Committee on Family, Women and Children's Affairs meeting.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the proposed draft outlines that not only will the display of tobacco products and the process of tobacco use be prohibited at children's events, but it will also be illegal to broadcast any works, performances, or programs that depict tobacco products or their use openly on air or through cable transmission.
