Aghdara: Azerbaijan is set to restore an additional 50 homes in Heyvali village, located in the Aghdara district. This comes after the successful restoration of 45 out of the 126 existing individual houses, which are now fully ready for use. The resettlement process has already begun, with 19 families, comprising 74 people, having returned to the village. This information was shared by Afat Telmangizi, Head of the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in the city of Khankendi and the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, during a briefing with journalists.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, efforts have been made to restore the village's social infrastructure as part of a comprehensive reconstruction plan. The restoration includes two existing transformers, electricity and gas lines, and the installation of new communication lines. To address the need for drinking water, a 60-cubic-meter water tank has been installed, and work has commenced on constructing the water supply network. Additionally, 4.5 kilometers of intra-village roads have been renovated, and a new recreation park has been established for the residents.

Heyvali village is situated in the administrative-territorial unit of the same name in the Aghdara district, at the foothills of the Karabakh mountain range. Before its occupation, the village's economy was primarily based on grain farming, tobacco growing, and livestock breeding. Social facilities, including a school, club, and post office, were operational. The village was liberated from occupation following an anti-terror operation carried out in 2023.

In January, President Ilham Aliyev visited Heyvali village to review the work being carried out in the region.
