Baku:Azerbaijan plans to resume purchasing gas from Gazprom, the Russian energy giant, as announced by Elshad Nasirov, Vice-President of SOCAR, during the Russian Energy Week.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Nasirov highlighted SOCAR's unique relationship with Gazprom, stating that it is likely the only company globally to have both purchased and supplied gas to Gazprom, and now intends to buy gas again.

Nasirov, when questioned about the volume of gas Azerbaijan plans to purchase, stated that there is currently no information available. He noted, "This is simply a fact confirming that we both buy and sell gas. There are no specific plans."
